Desert Dreams

Sensually Spring

For this shoot we took inspiration from the soft colors and the delicacy and sensuality that blooms in spring. The outfit choices keep it chic and sophisticated while still showing a sexy side.

Step by Step

I'm a true believer that sometimes in order for things to work out you have to keep them on the down low until they actually happen and then you can tell the whole world about it. At times not everyone wishes the best for you, trust me, I learned how to keep things to myself the hard way.
After going to several interviews with every single Bloomingdale's manager I can proudly say that i got the position as sales associate/stylist in the dress department. I've been there for about a month so I guess this is going to be my monthaversary post about my relatively new job.
This is my first retail job and I love it! I mean don't get me wrong, there are days where I want to mentally strangle obnoxious customers and make them pick up the mess they made but overall it's great. I feel like this is a step closer to achieve my dream job to become a Fashion Director, or maybe Editor, since I'm starting to realize how much I enjoy writing. I mean if I can combine my love for Fashion and my new discovered like for writing, why not?

Pink & Green What?

After a harsh, tedious, forever lasting (or at least that's how it seemed) winter it's finally spring! Which in the town of Winchester, VA it means Apple Blossom Festival! For those of you that have no idea what it is you can visit the official website here explaining what it is and all the activities that take place.

Even though I'm a fan of this fun filled festival there is one thing I CAN NOT stand… watching hundreds of people wearing head to toe the most hideous shade of pink and green there could be ever combined. Just because they are both the official "colors" of Apple Blossom it doesn't mean you have to wear pink and green hair accessories with a pink tank top, green short shorts, pink flip flops, and pink and green manicure (unless it's tastefully done). I can't!!!

That's the reason why I decided to do this public service announcement and give my two cents, from a wardrobe stylist perspective, to help the community to not look tacky but rather festively chic.

Hope these ideas helped at least a notch and inspire people to think outside the box when it comes to choosing your Apple Blossom outfits. After all it's not like I'm banning the pink and green combination, they could just be used in a different way, like a pop of color, as long as it's tastefully done.
